Who says you don't need a website?
I don't mind when people say it but now a days how could you not have a website. I might be a little biased since I just love creating websites for people. Yes, not just companies but friends blogs or entrepreneurs just getting started.
I use all of the CMS platforms like Wordpress, Weebly, Wix to name a few. My go to is Weebly for the small entrepreneur and WordPress for the blogger. I just find the WP interface so much easier than any other CMS.
Personally, this blog is on Weebly. Don't get me wrong I like it but it is not my favorite for writing in the interface.
Too happy creating with treats
This week I started a project for Meryles Cookies. She is a local entrepreneur baker. I ordered her cookies all summer during my Around The World Passport reading program at the Book Nook Center. She baked cookies from recipes around the world. The children loved the different varieties.
I told her then she could use a website.
And finally this week she agreed.
Cookies and Charm
I started the project with the idea to show all of her fresh baked cookies. She does not require pages and pages on her site. The goal is to have a resource for her clients and referrals to see her cookies and contact her for orders.
Of Course we will add the selection of cookies and more. But for now we are focusing on her sweet background and ways to contact.
Below is a sample of how the site is progressing.
In the Kitchen with Meryle
and yes, I used the "Cookie" font =)
Still more work to be done on the content but she has such a sweet story to match all her sweet treats. It is a great joy to work on this delicious project. I will keep you posted when LIVE.
All the best,
